John Kippenberger is Manuka Health’s CEO. John is an experienced CEO and MD specialising in company growth and turnarounds across Australia and New Zealand, managing medium to large-size fast moving consumer goods and industrial companies.
Prior to joining Manuka Health in February 2016, John was the Managing Director and one of three owners of Premier Beehive NZ, the high growth NZ FMCG business specialising in quality food products (Beehive, Premier and Freedom Farm brands). At this time, he was also a board member of the New Zealand Food and Grocery Council. In Australia, John spent four years as CEO of Australian meat and dairy business George Weston Foods Ltd.
John is passionate about growing businesses and developing successful, inspired teams. Since joining Manuka Health, John has built a strong executive team and a new strategy for the business. The focus is on building an outstanding New Zealand natural healthcare company, centred around the company’s extraordinary end-to-end bee products expertise.
Kate Kember is Manuka Health’s General Manager, Marketing and Research & Development. Kate is an experienced, strategic marketer with more than 15 years’ marketing experience across B2B, Corporate and FMCG brands, holding global and local market roles.
Kate most recently held roles within Fonterra, across multiple areas of the business. She has an extensive range of skills including consumer, service and corporate brand development, corporate reputation and social responsibility programmes, leadership, culture and team development.
At Manuka Health Kate is leading the global marketing and product development programme, ensuring that the company continues to build an exceptional natural healthcare brand.
Ben Boase is Manuka Health’s Chief Financial Officer. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has extensive corporate finance and strategy experience having worked at Deloitte (in Melbourne and London) for more than 10 years covering capital markets, valuations, private equity, mergers and acquisitions and strategy.
Most recently Ben was the M&A and Strategy Director at a large, branded FMCG food manufacturer in the UK (Burton’s Biscuits) building a reputation for creating and executing business wide transformational strategies and step-change performance.
Ben’s role at Manuka Health is focussed on ensuring the business has appropriate systems and processes to support our exciting growth trajectory, whilst also driving the strategic agenda including direct leadership of various business development initiatives.
Ronnie Singh is Manuka Health’s General Manager Operations & Supply Chain. Ronnie joined Manuka Health in 2018 from Linfox NZ, one of Australasia’s largest logistics and supply chain specialists, where he held the position of Group Manager – Warehousing and Growth, servicing the supply chain logistics for large clients such as Lion and Progressive (Countdown). Prior to Linfox, Ronnie held a number of Supply Chain roles at Griffins Foods Ltd and Nestle Purina, most recently as the Supply Chain Director at Griffins.
At Manuka Health New Zealand, Ronnie is responsible for the full supply chain, ensuring high quality, premium products are delivered to consumers across the 45+ countries Manuka Health supplies to around the world. Ronnie is passionate about service and supply chain excellence and this is evident across the Demand, Supply Planning, own-Manufacture, third-party manufacture, Inbound/Outbound Logistics and Procurement.
David Campbell is Manuka Health’s General Manager, Apiculture Operations. He has more than 10 years’ agribusiness experience and has been a beekeeper for over 20 years. David is a qualified Veterinary Scientist and a Nuffield Scholar. He is respected for his dairy sector achievements including developing and leading unique livestock performance strategies, management of multi-farm businesses and on-farm innovation.
At Manuka Health David is responsible for the growing beekeeping operation as well as working with beekeeper supplier partners to ensure bee products of the highest quality are produced and sourced.
Harry Woods is General Manager, Sales at Manuka Health, specialising in global food industry sales. He previously worked at Fonterra for 14 years where he held a variety of international sales roles covering markets in South East Asia, Middle East, Africa and Europe.
Harry has built a reputation in the dairy industry for building and implementing successful market growth strategies, developing long term sustainable partnerships and leading highly engaged sales teams.
At Manuka Health Harry is responsible for developing the global sales strategies for our markets.
