A New Zealand company is set to claim a world first next month when it launches a honey-infused bandage that could revolutionise the wound care market.
Manuka Health will launch its HydroGel dressing at the NZBIO conference, in Auckland, with hopes of taking the product to the world stage.
Auckland-based Manuka Health managing director Kerry Paul said the dressing is a gel dressing infused with manuka honey that is designed to draw away fluid from an infection while the honey, known for its antibacterial properties, clears the infection. more...
