Honey & Milk Face Mask For Sensitive Skin

 Milk contains vitamin D which can boost collagen, fade dark spots and even dark circles under the eyes. The super ingredient also removes impurities thanks to lipase, protease and lactic acid. The natural enzymes which are found in milk promote the shedding of old dead skin cells which has a softening and brightening effect. 

This mask is ideal for those with sensitive or sunburnt skin. Milk has anti-inflammatory properties when applied topically and if you apply milk directly from the fridge you'll find the application very soothing and refreshing. 

For this mask you'll need:

  • 2 Tbs of milk
  • 1 Tbs of Manuka honey
  • 1/2 tsp of fine salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp of aloe vera gel

TIP: IF you can't get hold of fresh aloe vera you can find alternatives in the supermarket near the sunscreen. Just watch for additives if you react easily. 

Add the salt to the milk and stir to dissolve before adding the aloe and honey. If you're using fresh aloe, or if pieces of salt remain, pour the mixture into a blender for 20 seconds. refrigerate the mask for an hour then apply onto your skin. Massage the mask in circular motions for a few minutes and leave on for at least 10 minutes.
